May 2005: mastered the CD recording of "Cashmere", the debut CD release of very talented Amy Rivard.

October 2003: recorded and mastered and released the 5 song CD of the band Les Singes Bleus - this project was a lot of fun as it was loose, natural, and unforced - oozing emotion and spontaneity. For a sample of this project, see the Les Singes Bleus website.

February 2003: I'll refer to this as a recent event, but, sometime in the summer of 1998, I co-recorded Kieran Overs' latest release "For The Record". I got bored of bugging Kieran with the re-occurring question: "what's up with that recording ...?", only to find out that it was indeed released this February. Other musicians on this recording are Brian Dickinson (piano), Ted Warren (drums), and Alex Dean (saxaphone).

I was asked by Mike Fellini of Fellini Aerographics Ltd., if he could borrow my double bass in order to have photos taken of it. I was happy and impressed to learn that one of the photos that he digitally retouched, earned the the December 2002 cover of Graphic Exchange magazine. June 2002, engineered, recorded, mixed, and co-produced the project named "Slow", a CD of original works by George Grosman, featuring George Grosman on vocals and guitar, Bohdan Turok on percussion, Richard Powrie on double bass, and special guest performances such as Teresa Kelly on vocals.

Paris | June 2002

Richard Powrie and his new wife, Mary Margaret, have just returned from their honeymoon in Paris, France, and London, England, after their wedding on June 8th. So here is a re-iteration of a site put together after their trip last year.

June 2001, mastered the CD recording of "The Three Guitars", a three song demo recording, featuring the fantastic guitar playing of George Grosman, Kevin Barrett, and Jesse Barksdale.

December 2000, recorded, mixed and mastered the recording, "That Last Day" a collection of old-time swing standards by the quartet, "Teresa Kelly and the Swing Upstarts". The song "That Last Day", appears on the new Drog Records compilation, "Work Songs" - this is a CD containing "59 new songs about work by 59 different artists", compiled by Drog Records cofounder Lewis Melville. Richard Powrie also plays double bass in this band that also features Rizaldo Padilla on guitar and Tom Melville on piano (and of course, Teresa Kelly on vocals).

September 2000, mastered the most recent CD of "Muzika na rohu", or "Music On The Corner", a Czech group, led by guitarist/vocalist George Grosman. This is one of several recordings that Richard Powrie has mastered for George Grosman, including his recent "Off The Floor" recording, released in the summer of 1999.

July 2000, mastered the upcoming release of "No Sudden Movements", by Noodle House. This is a group that Richard Powrie played in until about 1996 after their release of the acclaimed "Gasoline" album, which was co-engineered, co-mixed, co-mastered, and digitally sequenced by Richard Powrie.

2000: CD mastering for the weekly radio show of "Master T and the Wall Of Sound Featuring Dave Campbell" which airs every Monday night at 10:00PM to midnight on Toronto's Energy 103.5.

Composed and recorded the CD "Curbside Lapse", by Richard Powrie - a collection of ambient, hypnotic grooves based around electric bass, drum loops and melodies that trance the listener into another space - perfect late night headphone music for the insomniac, and/or Sunday morning newspaper accompaniment.

1993, co-wrote, co-recorded, co-mixed, and co-mastered the premiere cassette by "Noodle House". Members of the band included former Martha and The Muffins Drummer, Tim Gane, a guest appearance by Mark Gane and his brother, current Noodle House member Nick Gane on keyboards.
